When you click the Courses tab in the new eLearning interface, by default you’re taken to a list of Current Courses. “Current Courses” mean any courses that are currently available for students to access. Your Fall 2022 courses will become available to students on Aug.22, so they will be listed in the Upcoming Courses list.
You can view your course list in a List View or a Tile View. You’ll use the toggle button above the course list to switch between the two views. Also notice you can favorite courses, which pins courses to the top of the course list.
To hide a course/organization from your course list, hover over the course/organization, and click the […] button in the upper-right corner, then choose Hide course/organization.
To bring a course back to your list, click the dropdown at the top of the page, and choose the Hidden from me option. You’ll then see a list of hidden courses. Click the […] button and choose Show organization.
You can’t reorder courses in the list. You can, however, favorite a course to pin it to the top of the list and/or you can use the search bar at the top of the page to quickly find a particular course.
We strongly encourage users NOT to use bookmarks or direct links to a particular eLearning course. Instead, users should use the elearning.utdallas.edu url or use the link on the UTD homepage.
One of the issues we discovered that’s caused by using a bookmark/direct link is you’ll find that the ‘X’ to close a course and return to your course list is missing. Notice in the screenshot below that the ‘X’ in the upper-left corner is missing.
If this happens to you, go to elearning.utdallas.edu (or the link on the UTD homepage), then go to your course list and access your course. Notice now you’ll see that ‘X’ that allows you to go back to your course list.
