Training and Support Resources

• Training workshops covering the learning management system and other educational technology tools are available throughout the year. To review topics and request sessions, please submit an eLearning Training Request Form.
• Tutorials and handouts covering various aspects of the LMS are available on this page.
• UTD faculty presentations on best practices in leveraging the learning management system for student success.

Two professional development programs in online teaching and instructional design are available. Both programs are self-paced, and 100% online.

• Online Teaching Certifications - This certification is intended to develop skills for successfully building and teaching an online or hybrid/ blended course at UT Dallas. Coursework includes interactive learning modules and a project. Enrollment is open to UTD faculty, graduate teaching assistants, and post-doctoral associates with online/ blended instructional responsibilities.
• Online Lecture Creation Course - This course is aimed at helping faculty, staff, teaching assistants, and student workers learn various technology tools to create lecture materials. The course provides various online teaching resources, best practices and a choice of tools/ topics.

• Open Labs are available twice weekly for hands-on support with eLearning issues. Labs are hosted online and are open to UTD faculty, staff, and TAs. No registration is required. Please use the link below to join during lab hours to connect with an eLearning team member. We recommend using a desktop or laptop to enable screen sharing.
