TurningPoint Polling - Student Resources
Students need to use TurningPoint Polling only if it is required by the instructor in the course. This information will be available in the course syllabus or it will be conveyed to you by your instructor in class. If the software will be used in your course, all instructions will be provided by your instructor.
Turning License
If the instructor uses TurningPoint Polling, students must purchase a Turning License. The license is available at the UTD Bookstore. This is a very important step because without a Turning License you will not be able to participate in the polling.
Hardware / software
There are 3 options to participate in polling. All three require you to have a Turning License. Your instructor will inform you which of these 3 options are allowed in class.
- TurningPoint App via your mobile devices.
- TurningPoint URL https://student.turningtechnologies.com/ via any web browser. Visit the URL > login with your Turning Account > go into to the RESPOND tab at the top.

Code of Conduct
The misuse of clickers is a violation of the UT Dallas Student Code of Conduct and punishable through a variety of sanctions, including expulsion. Disciplinary action may be initiated for misconduct which includes, but is not limited to:
- Plagiarism: The adoption or reproduction of ideas, words, statements, images or works of another person as one's own without proper acknowledgement.
- Cheating: Using or attempting to use unauthorized materials, information, or study aids in any academic exercise. Academic exercise includes all forms of work submitted for credit or hours.
- Fabrication: Falsification or creation of any information, data or citation in an academic exercise.
- Collaboration and/or Collusion: Seeking or providing aid to another student in completion of any assignment submitted for academic credit without permission from the faculty member.
- Misuse or Damage to Property: Any act of vandalism, damage, destruction or misuse of university property or that of another.
- Violation of General Rules and Regulations: Violation of any rule or regulation including the failure to perform any required action or the performance of any prohibited actions.
